Study Finds Babies Feel Pain Earlier Than Thought Before

An article posted on LifeNews.com on April 21, 2017 says in part: ” A study published in the Journal Cell on 23 March 2017 reveals that the nervous system of embryos and foetuses may be greatly more developed than was previously believed.  Entitled “Tridimensional Visualization and Analysis of Early Human Development” the study shows that unborn babies in the first trimester have “adult-like” patterns of nerves. Researchers “combined whole-mount immunostaining, 3DISCO clearing, and light-sheet imaging to start building a 3D cellular map” and found that “the adult-like pattern of skin innervation is established before the end of the first trimester, showing important intra- and inter-individual variations in nerve branches.” ”

Heart Surgery Preformed on a 21-week Unborn Baby

“The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is world-renowned for developing innovative new surgical procedures to help save babies’ lives before they are born.”

“Doctors at the hospital recently performed heart surgery on a 21-week unborn baby while he was still in his mother’s womb, and removed a tumor that almost killed him, CBS 3 in Philadelphia reports.”

This is one of the reasons why we should continue to support the pro-life movement. Babies are babies from the moment of conception and should be protected at all costs.

The new year is upon us and it is off to a good start. Hope Pregnancy Care Center greeted 13 visitors as the doors opened. 6 of those visitors were with us for the very first time.

During the month HPCC gave 2 pregnancy tests. 1 was positive and 1 was negative. Visitors where given 1 Baby Toy, 1 Baby Food, 11 Baby Wipes, as well as 3 baby grooming kits. We gave out baby towels, baby sheets, diaper bags, baby shampoo, baby wash, a baby bath tub, baby bibs and some towels.

Additionally we gave our visitors, 194 size 1 diapers, 25 size 2 diapers, 75 size 4 diapers and 30 size 6 diapers. We continue to have some larger size, like the 6 to give out but will be concentrating on preemie to size 3 as the year goes along. Those needing the larger sizes will continue to be referred to the Stokes Co. Health Dept. WIC Program who are not handling the NC Diaper Bank Diapers for our county.

We are so thankful that the other baby help items we have to give are still being donated by churches and individuals in the community.
