HPCC was able to give 2 people maternity clothes, 8 people received baby clothes, 3 people received furnishings, 5 people received baby toys, 5 people received baby food, 1 person receive some baby formula and 37 people received baby wipes. We continue to be able to give these items as asked for because of the individuals, churches and church groups continue to support us with donation of these items.
One of our volunteers is organizing a baby showers in several churches she is working with to provide us with baby items we need. Another individual in the community is working with the Back Yard Bible School in Germanton to have a baby shower there to provide baby items that are needed by the folks we are serving. Another church in Rural Hall is holding a month long baby shower for HPCC as well. We are blessed with great support during the early spring and summer months.
Since January of 2016 through the month of May, HPCC has served 72 individuals. It is actually a few more when you figure some of these individuals have multiple children in need. We are passing out an average of 1,457 diapers per month. We have an average of 24.6 visits per month of people seeking our assistance. Folks are coming to us from King, Walnut Cove, Germanton, Rural Hall, Tobaccoville, West Field, East Bend, Pinnacle, and Winston-Salem.
