Opps….it was on video……. “Today, President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America Cecile Richards, testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on PPFA’s use of taxpayer funding. During testimony, she falsely asserted that, “we’ve never stated that we did” provide mammograms.” The Weekly Standard placed this article online this morning, Sept. 20, 2015.
I for one do not see how people continue to support Planned Parenthood in the wake of the awful videos they have have been seen on telling people how they sell baby parts after they kill them. It doesn’t make sense. I even saw a woman yesterday getting diapers wearing a shirt with “I stand with Planned Parenthood” written across it. Talk about an oxymoron ……
Hope Pregnancy Care Center had 37 visitors come to our door during the month of September. In September of 2014 we had 24 visitors. This continues this year’s trend of having significantly more visits each month of this year as opposed t last year.
HPCC gave out 144 Size 2 diapers, 248 Size 3 diapers, 438 Size 4 diapers, 249 Size 5 diapers and 50 Size 6 diapers. This is a total of 1,129 diapers we were able to give out. Again, our partner, The Diaper Bank of NC – Triad was the significant contributor of diapers to the cause this month. The have move to their new digs on Polo Road which makes for a significantly shorter drive for HPCC to get to them.
Additionally HPCC gave 1 Pregnancy test this month. It was a negative test. 3 people received maternity clothes, 9 people received baby clothing, 3 people received furnishings, 7 visits to the toy room were made, 2 received baby food, 4 received baby formula and 30 packets of wipes were given out. A bouncy seat, sippy cups, booster seat, baby blankets, baby bottles, and a stroller were some of the items also given out this month.
Of the 37 visits to Hope Pregnancy Care Center this month, 5 were first time visitors.
These little guys are worth saving. Read Here and see an important story that was published in LifeNews.com today. Our children are priceless and should be worthy of our care and concern. Regardless of your political points of view…this should be self evident to all.
We have completed another month at Hope Pregnancy Care Center where the visits to our door continue to outpace the number that came to us in the same month last year. This year, 57 people came to us for help. That number is 34 more than came to us in August of 2014. 57 people came to HPCC for assistance. Most came for items from the diaper bank.
We did give 3 pregnancy tests, 14 came for baby clothes, 1 received furnishings, 11 received baby toys, 3 received baby food, 2 received formula and 53 received baby wipes.
Thanks to our donors and the N.C. Diaper Bank-Triad we were able to give out 2,324 diapers this month. 67 Size New Born, 25 Size 1, 25 Size 2, 1,153 Size 3, 345 Size 4, 569 Size 5 and 140 Size 6.
The size 3 numbers reflect a large pack we have be able to give out but that number will go down some because of the packs will be the same size as other size packs after this month. The size 5 number will go up slightly as those packs will be slightly larger next month. Most will receive packs of 25 diapers as a matter of course as September moves along.
While our visitors are able to come once a week for needed baby items, we continue to have new comers each month. In the month of August, we had 13 first time people receiving services.
I also want to thank all of our volunteers who help us each week on Monday, Thursday and Saturday to assist the people who come to us for help. God is good who gives us the resources to continue this ministry every week.
“Next week, a House committee will hold its first hearing investigating Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted babies and their body parts. This is the first hearing in Congress’ multi-committee investigation of the abortion business after a series of nine videos exposed how it is potentially illegally selling aborted babies and profiting from the sales.”
“LifeNews.com has learned that two abortion survivors will headline the House Judiciary Committee meeting and exposes the horrors of the abortion industry from their first-hand experience.”
Just a reminder that we’re closed until Thursday. We are in great need of Size 3 and Size 5 diapers. As always we need wipes too. If you can bring some by Thursday or give me a call 336-577-7513 and make arrangements to meet you there or I’ll pick the up from you between now and then. I may be able to get some from the diaper bank tomorrow but they say the 4 and 5 s especially won’t be available until the 15th.
Hope PCC Diaper Bank will be closed on Saturday, Sept 5, and on Monday, Sept 7 as our volunteers will be taking a holiday break.
Linda, as always, will be able to speak to clients for our other services by phone and set up appointments for you if necessary. Hope PCC Diaper Bank will be open again on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
